How Maven Securities recruits

Maven Securities runs a single Emerging Talent process across its programmes: candidates may be asked to complete online assessments (numerical, probability, coding, and an "Arctic Shores" cognitive assessment), followed by interviews, then "Assessment centres or final stage interviews." It states candidates "can only apply to one Emerging Talent role each year across all regions," and aims to give feedback "within two weeks of completing your online assessment."

The live Quant Trader Internship posting lists a "Flexible start date: January 2027 or July 2027." We first confirmed this role live in our pipeline on 29 August 2026.

How the process usually runs

Stages as Maven Securities describes them. Timings vary by programme, so treat this as a guide rather than a commitment.

01Application"Before submitting your application, please review the programme, business area and location you are applying to."
02Online assessments"you may be asked to complete one or more online assessments," which can include a numerical assessment ("mental maths ability"), a probability assessment, a coding assessment, and Arctic Shores, "a task-based assessment which measures a range of cognitive skills and traits."
03Interviews"Interviews are a chance for us to learn more about you, your motivation for your chosen business area, and how you approach problems."
04Assessment centres and final stages"Assessment centres or final stage interviews are designed to give you a better understanding of the role while allowing us to see how you approach tasks, communicate and collaborate."

Worth knowing

  • The internship requires a "Background in Applied Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Physics, or a similar quantitative discipline."
  • Visa sponsorship is available: "Visa sponsorship is available for this role and will be discussed with eligible candidates at later stages."
  • Only one Emerging Talent application per candidate per year is permitted, across all regions.
  • Successful completion of the internship makes candidates "eligible for consideration for a full time position."
