How DRW recruits

DRW publishes a four-stage process for its internships: a resume-only application reviewed "on a rolling basis," a take-home technical challenge, a Zoom interview with "a fellow developer, quantitative trader or researcher," and a two-day in-person final round. It recruits per role rather than into one combined scheme, and encourages applying early because review is rolling rather than to a fixed deadline.

DRW does not publish a fixed application deadline or opening date on its own listings; it says only that it reviews applications "on a rolling basis." Its live UK internship listings target a "Summer 2027" start, and our pipeline first confirmed these roles live on 23 August 2026.

How the process usually runs

Stages as DRW describes them. Timings vary by programme, so treat this as a guide rather than a commitment.

01Submit your application"We review applications on a rolling basis so we encourage you to apply early when our roles are posted. Our application process is straightforward and only requires you to submit your most recent resume to be considered."
02Complete a technical challenge"Depending on your role, this could be a quantitative challenge focused on probability and logic skills or a coding challenge on fundamental computer science concepts. You complete this at home under timed conditions."
03Participate in a Zoom interview"You'll talk to a fellow developer, quantitative trader or researcher on the phone. We'll get to know you better through technical and behavioral questions."
04Visit for a final round interview"We start day one in the afternoon with introductions followed by a technical challenge. Day two is a full day of interviews focusing on a range of topics, both technical and behavioral."
