Optiver hires into its City of London office through a Graduate Software Engineer programme and a ten-week Software Engineer internship, and every graduate worldwide starts with the twelve-week Global Optiver Academy in Amsterdam before joining their local office.

How Optiver recruits
CVs go through the online form only, in English, never by email. Shortlisted applicants sit an online assessment and must confirm up front they can complete it within seven days; after that comes a recruiter conversation, a technical assessment and interviews. An eight-month cool-off applies globally before you can retry a tech graduate or intern role after an assessment or interview.

Worth knowing
- Visa positions differ sharply by role: the London internship offers no sponsorship and requires UK right to work for the full internship, while the London graduate role does offer relocation and visa sponsorship where necessary.
- Graduate eligibility is graduating between August 2024 and August 2027 with at most three years' work experience; the internship targets penultimate-year students graduating in 2028.
