PIMCO is hiring a 2027 Summer Intern - Technology Analyst, Software Engineering, EMEA in London. This is a summer internship in Software engineering, read from PIMCO’s Workday job board and last confirmed on 12 September 2026.
Apply on PIMCO’s sitePublic data and the employer’s own words, not immigration advice. Whether a role can be sponsored also turns on its salary, the Skilled Worker thresholds in force, and your own status.
PIMCO runs two summer internship programmes for students, the Summer Analyst Program for "Undergraduate and master's degree candidates currently in their second-to-last year of study", and the Summer Investment Professional Program for "Current MBA, Ph.D. and experienced master's degree candidates". In the UK these sit in PIMCO's London office, and for the 2027 intake PIMCO's own job site listed six London summer intern roles across technology, portfolio management, account management, product, alternatives and quantitative research. There is no separate UK graduate scheme advertised; PIMCO says the internship "serves as a primary pipeline for early career talent and entry into the Analyst Program".
You apply to a named role on PIMCO's own Workday site, not through one general programme application, and PIMCO's careers FAQ asks you to limit yourself: "We recommend that you keep applications to a maximum of three." If a role runs in more than one location, PIMCO asks you to "communicate your preference for a certain location in your cover letter". There is no fixed deadline. The London 2027 adverts say "We review applications on a rolling basis" and that "Applications for the internship program are reviewed in phases. Candidates are strongly encouraged to apply as early as possible to be considered in the initial review. Later applications received may still be considered; however, due to the high volume of interest, we cannot guarantee that all applications will be reviewed." There is no reapplication bar: if you applied before and were not selected, "if you meet the basic eligibility and requirements for the role, you are welcome to apply again". PIMCO also says it will not help you outside the process, because "PIMCO is unable to provide individualized guidance or introductions outside of the formal application process". If you hear nothing, treat that as a no after two months: "If you haven't heard from us in two months about an application, we likely proceeded with other candidates for that particular role."
PIMCO publishes no closing date. The London 2027 summer internship adverts say "Applications open September 2026" and are reviewed "on a rolling basis", and PIMCO's own job site showed the technology advert as "Posted 6 Days Ago" on 6 September 2026, which puts the opening at 31 August 2026. PIMCO's student pages no longer carry an application timeline, but a February 2025 capture of its UK internships page gave the Summer Analyst Program timeline as "Mid-late summer 2024 for the following summer", then "rolling throughout the academic year". So the pattern is a late August or early September opening with no announced close, which means the useful deadline is your own: apply in the first weeks rather than in the spring.
