Synack is a US security company whose own advert describes its product as a "Penetration Testing as a Service platform". Its only UK early careers vacancy is a Graduate Software Engineer, posted in the R&D department and listed as "Remote in the UK". There is no graduate scheme, no internship programme and no student or campus hub anywhere on Synack's own site: the graduate job is a single vacancy sitting on the same board as their experienced hire roles.

How Synack recruits
You apply to the one advert on Synack's own Greenhouse board. There is no separate graduate application, no assessment centre invitation described and no scheme to register for. The form is short: CV, optional cover letter, a required LinkedIn profile URL, and two eligibility questions, "Do you currently reside in the United Kingdom?" and a citizenship question. Synack publishes no selection stages on its own site, so what happens after you submit is not stated anywhere you can check. No reapplication rule is published either. Because the role is one vacancy rather than an intake, treat it as filled when it is filled: the board offers an alert instead, "Interested in building your career at Synack? Get future opportunities sent straight to your email."
Synack's own applicant tracking system records the advert as first published on 1 September 2026. No closing date exists: the posting record carries "application_deadline":null, and the advert text says nothing about applications closing, or closing early once full. That means there is no date to work back from, and equally no guarantee the role stays up, so apply when you see it rather than planning around a deadline. We found no graduate titled role on Synack's own job board in any Wayback Machine capture we checked from 2015 to July 2026, so there is no previous cycle to time this against and no reason to expect it repeats annually.
Worth knowing
- Citizenship, not sponsorship, is the bar. The application states: "Please note: We can only hire U.K. citizens for this position." A visa or settled status will not clear it.
- The form also asks "Do you currently reside in the United Kingdom?" before you can submit.
- Despite the graduate title, the advert asks for "3yrs hands-on experience with Python/Go" and "~1yr of work/internship experience relevant to this role". Read the requirements before you spend time on it.
- A degree is required: "A degree in a computing/technology discipline."
- No salary is published. The advert carries US pay boilerplate saying the range "reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations", and no range and no UK figure are shown.
- The job is fully remote in the UK. Synack's own record for it lists the office as "United Kingdom - Remote" and names no UK site.
- The board title is "Graduate Software Engineer" but the advert body describes the role as "Graduate Software Engineer (AI)", working on "agentic AI capabilities". It is an AI engineering job, not a general software graduate role.
- UK hiring is thin. The only other UK vacancy on Synack's board is "Software Engineer, AI (Level determined by experience)", also "Remote in the United Kingdom".
- Synack's careers page listing lags behind its board. When we fetched www.synack.com/careers/ the graduate role was not on it, while the Greenhouse board carried it. Check the board, not the careers page.
