Samsara runs an early-careers track it calls Emerging Talent: a paid 12-week summer internship programme (plus 6 to 8 month co-op positions for junior-year students) and new grad hiring including an 18-month Product Management or Operations rotation programme. In the UK it currently lists a Software Engineer I (New Grad) role and a Software Engineering Internship, both based in its London office on a hybrid basis.

How Samsara recruits

Samsara describes the same four-step process for interns and new grads: submit an application for the specific role, complete a technical or non-technical assessment, have interviews covering soft skills and technical expertise, then receive a decision. It says it hires on a rolling basis until roles are filled and recommends applying early.

Samsara's Emerging Talent page states it hires on a rolling basis until positions are filled. Its own London job postings carry specific closing times: the Software Engineering Internship - London posting states "Applications will close September 4th at 5:00pm (ET)", and the Software Engineer I (New Grad) - London posting states "Applications will close August 24th at 11:59pm EST".

How the process usually runs

Stages as Samsara describes them. Timings vary by programme, so treat this as a guide rather than a commitment.

01Application"Submit your application for the role that excites you."
02Assessment"Show off your skills through a technical or non-technical assessment."
03Interview"Connect with members of our team, where we'll dive into your soft skills and technical expertise."
04Decision"Hear from the Samsara team on the final decision."

Worth knowing

  • The London Software Engineering Internship requires being "in your penultimate year of study (or second-to-last year of an integrated Master's / MEng)", on track for a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics or Data Science, "with expected graduation no earlier than Summer 2028". It states an hourly base salary of "£30.58" GBP and is hybrid, "3 days per week in our London office".
  • The London Software Engineer I (New Grad) role requires a "Current Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field, with an expected graduation date in 2027", states an "Annual Base Salary £67,575" to "£79,500 GBP", and is hybrid, "3 days per week in our London, UK office and 2 days working remotely". Neither London posting mentions visa sponsorship.
