How Epic Games recruits

Epic's own FAQ describes one review path for interns: a technical assessment in some cases, then a recruitment screening, then a panel interview with the team. It hires year round rather than through a single fixed intake, and says each role stays posted until they find a match.

Epic states there are no official application deadlines because it hires year round, but names general recruitment windows on its own page, including September to March for summer internships. Our pipeline first confirmed this London intake on 23 August 2026.

How the process usually runs

Stages as Epic Games describes them. Timings vary by programme, so treat this as a guide rather than a commitment.

01Technical assessmentEpic's FAQ says the process 'consists of a technical assessment in some cases', so it is not applied to every role.
02Recruitment screeningDescribed on the same page as being to learn more about the candidate and their experience.
03Panel interviewEpic's own wording: "You will then move on to a panel interview with the team."

Worth knowing

  • Epic's eligibility bar: "We focus on individuals beyond high school with less than 1 year of formal working experience."
  • "Both active students and recent graduates within 1 year of their graduation may be considered."
  • Internship length is fixed by Epic at 3 to 4 months: "Epic Internships happen year round with work terms ranging from 3-4 months."
