How Abound recruits

Abound's own job postings for the scheme set out the same three-stage process across all three routes: a take-home test, a remote video technical interview, then an in-person interview day. The scheme runs for one year, and Abound states directly that it cannot sponsor a visa for the role.

How the process usually runs

  • Abound states plainly: "we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role."
  • Eligibility as stated: "A recent (or soon-to-be) graduate with a degree in a technical or quantitative field (e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or Mathematics -- STEM field)" (wording for the Data Scientist route lists Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics instead).
  • The role is described as "Hybrid with 3 days a week in the office."
