About Jefferies

Jefferies runs a full early careers ladder in London: two spring weeks, several summer internships, off-cycle internships and three full time analyst programmes. The 2027 London list on their own campus site covers investment banking, equity research, equities sales and trading, private credit, private fund advisory, information technology and a quant programme for Masters students. You apply through the Jefferies Campus Application Center at jefferies.tal.net rather than the main careers site.

You apply per role, and each advert carries its own closing date. Jefferies recruits "on a rolling basis" and warns on the analyst and spring adverts that "there may be a delay in screening and online testing". There is a hard cap on how much you can apply for: most adverts say "you can only make one application per recruitment season; duplicate profiles cannot be considered", and the off-cycle adverts extend that worldwide, "You can only make one application (globally) per recruitment season". The single published exception is the Investment Banking Analyst Programme, where Jefferies says "you are able to apply to x1 EMEA IB off-cycle and this Analyst vacancy". So for most people this is one shot per year, and choosing which Jefferies role to go for matters more here than at firms that let you list preferences. Jefferies also notes on that same advert that "Investment Banking Analysts typically come from our pipeline internship programs".

The dates are on the adverts themselves and they are not all the same. The 2027 Investment Banking Summer Internship Programme in London closes on 15 November 2026, for a June 2027 start. Both London spring weeks close on November 30th 2026. The three London analyst programmes, investment banking, equity research and private credit, all close on 31 January 2027 for a July or August 2027 start. Note the order: the summer internship deadline falls two weeks before the spring week deadline. Last cycle the same two programmes closed on 2 November 2025 and 30 January 2026, so the summer internship deadline has moved about two weeks later this year while the analyst deadline has barely moved.

  • Deadlines differ by programme. The London investment banking summer internship closes 15 November 2026, the two London spring weeks close November 30th 2026, and the three London analyst programmes close 31 January 2027.
  • One application per recruitment season, and the off-cycle adverts say that limit is global. The only published exception is that investment banking analyst applicants may also apply to one EMEA investment banking off-cycle internship.
  • No degree subject requirement. Jefferies says "Although a background in accounting or finance can be helpful, we hire Analysts who have studied a variety of degree disciplines."
