TPP hires all of its early-careers roles from a single Leeds office: a Graduate Software Developer scheme, a Technical Engineer Placement Year for students doing a year in industry, and a Software Developer Summer Internship for students in their penultimate year, none of which require prior programming experience.

How TPP recruits

TPP recruits per named role rather than through one umbrella scheme, and runs two different application routes. For the majority of its graduate roles, including Software Developer, applicants must pass a Logic & Reasoning test before being invited to interview; other roles go straight from application to interview. Applicants who are still studying can apply on a predicted grade, and TPP says it will hold the job open until they graduate.

TPP does not publish an opening or closing window on its own pages; its FAQ treats applications as ongoing, telling students still at university they can apply early. We first confirmed live TPP roles on 20 August 2026.

How the process usually runs

Stages as TPP describes them. Timings vary by programme, so treat this as a guide rather than a commitment.

01Apply onlineComplete the logic & reasoning test booking form for the role best suited to you. Successful applicants will be contacted within 2 weeks.
02Attend Logic & Reasoning TestTurn up with your Photo ID and complete the test for the role you are applying for. TPP's FAQ adds the test is 55 minutes, non-calculator, and 'logic based - there's no technical or programming elements.'
03Face to face interviewsSuccessful applicants will be invited for an interview, either in our office or at your university. Some applicants may have a preliminary phone interview.
04DecisionWe will get in touch within one week of the interview to confirm if we would like to offer you the position.

Worth knowing

  • Graduate Software Developer asks for a predicted 2:1 or above at degree level and A*AA at A Level with an A* in Maths, and pays a starting salary of a minimum of £60,000 (depending on experience).
  • Technical Engineer Placement Year asks for a minimum of ABB/AAC at A-level including either Maths or IT, and pays £30,000.
  • TPP states, 'We can sponsor visa applications for the Skilled Worker visa which has replaced the Tier 2 (General) Visa.'
  • All roles are based at TPP's Leeds office. Its FAQ states, 'All of our roles are officed based and there is no option for remote working.'
