_nology is a UK tech training and talent provider, not a conventional graduate scheme: it runs an 8-12 week fully funded "Pathway-to-Tech Program" in Software, Cloud, DevOps and AI Engineering, then places trainees into junior roles with client companies (our board has seen these client-side listings, e.g. a Junior Java Developer role covering Warwick, Stoke-on-Trent and Leicester, and a Junior DevOps Engineer role tied to an "Accelerator Academy (ENG25)" cohort in Newcastle upon Tyne).

How _nology recruits

Applicants go through _nology's own three-stage assessment before training, not a per-client interview: a recorded-video "Skills Solo Interview," then an online "Logic Quiz," then a group assessment day that includes a beginner JavaScript session. After training, _nology places successful trainees with its hiring partners, which is where roles like the Junior Java Developer and Junior DevOps Engineer postings we track come from.

_nology's own page invites people to "Register interest" for "2026 intakes" without giving a specific date. Our pipeline first confirmed a live intake for _nology on 20 August 2026.

How the process usually runs

Stages as _nology describes them. Timings vary by programme, so treat this as a guide rather than a commitment.

01Stage 1: Skills Solo Interview Assessment"An online assessment where you'll be asked a series of behavioural style questions to be answered in the format of a video recording. This is to assess your communication skills and motivations for joining our programme."
02Stage 2: Logic Quiz Assessment"An online assessment where you'll be asked a series of logic questions, measuring your problem solving and pattern recognition skills and therefore potential to learn to code."
03Stage 3: Group Assessment"You'll meet other like-minded individuals, take part in a beginners training session on JavaScript (one of the coding languages we teach), and get involved in a group problem-solving activity."

Worth knowing

  • "Our only requirements are that you have eligibility to work in the UK and are open to relocation for the role post training." No visa sponsorship is stated.
  • Training is described as "fully funded," and _nology says its trainees this year have been "61% women + non-binary, 79% career-changers with non-tech backgrounds, 13% LGBTQIA+, and 76% ethnically diverse."
